Make a clear promise to the right listener
A podcast grows when people understand why it belongs in their week. Describe your ideal listener, the question they need answered, and the perspective your show brings. A specific promise is easier to share than a show that tries to cover everything.
Review your episode titles from a new listener’s point of view. Lead with the question, useful outcome, or interesting tension. Keep the title accurate: the episode should deliver what the invitation promises.
Build a repeatable discovery routine
Choose one or two channels your audience already uses. Publish an insightful clip, a short written takeaway, or a guest conversation that can stand on its own. Give people something useful before inviting them to listen to the whole episode.
Make every show page easy to navigate. Include listening links, a concise summary, and a transcript. Give guests a small sharing kit with suggested copy and a few carefully chosen moments.
Invite a response, then listen
Ask one clear question at the end of an episode. Listener replies can reveal better topics, surprising questions, and language you can use to explain your show. Community starts with an exchange, not a follower count.
